Lamping Bouvier?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone remember an article in the Countrymans Weekly a while ago in which a bloke said he hoped to lamp his working Bouvier? It seemed unlikely, I just wonder if anyone heard any more?

Funnily enough I had met this guy at the Festival of Hunting at Peterborough 2 years ago: sound bloke. Then out of the blue he phoned me a couple of months ago and he has since got a male Bouvier as well. He was wanting to sound me out as to the potential for BouvierxGreyhound: did I think that anyone would be interested? I must admit I wasn't too full of hope for him and told him that there were that many lurchers being bred anyway he'd have to do some pretty good marketing and PR of the dog if there was going to be any interest.

He did say that his bitch was a good deer tracking dog, following the blood trail as well as any dog could do. Anyway, I don't know if he ended up going to breed or not. That's all I know.

Les Day of Downham market used to work one approx 18yrs ago mainly as a fox dog caught the odd deer as well but all of a sudden he turned bad and had to be pts as thats a big buggar of a dog to try and pull of someone, have to say he was a definate candidate prior to that for going over a GH
