benhunter 1 Posted December 4, 2009 Report Share Posted December 4, 2009 Just come back from the best day out shooting - one of those days that you just know are going to stay with you forever. It all started well when the first shot of the day two guns to my left brought down a strong flying woodcock. My day started with a left, right, left again from my first three shots - actually that should be over, under, over with my gun.... the first drive was all pheasant for me, then on the second, fast partridge with a good wind behind them. drive after drive (six in total) some really great birds flew - and some fell. the last drive was the best of the day, placed at the point of a long thin wood, birds exploded out of the wood over a tree in front of me and then a woodcock flew out, jinked around and then just seemed to stop in mid air and wait for me to bring it down. what a day... ben Quote Link to post Share on other sites
