hi every one, i have a four and a half month lurcher pup who woofs his food down so fast he doesnt even stop to chew he just swollows every thing whole. any tips to slow his eating down, he is fed indoors with no other dog so i just dont understand what his rush is i am feeding him three times a day on a varied diet of raw meat and veg and he also has a small amount of tinned to. any suggestions he is fine when i feed him by hand with his rabbit and chicken but its when i put any thing in his bowl?

As Said! it is natural. More so if the pup has been bullied for food by siblings. This makes them bolt their food down to make sure that the others don't get any. I have a dog that had that done by his older brother and even now at four he still does it and his brother is no longer with us? So don't worry about it!!
