new kid on the block

As the title suggests , I have joined this wonderful forum . I have been watching in for a while, picking up tips and ideas but have not joined in the banter, as I dont know a big pile.

Anyway my name is Sean and I live in the wee village of Ballinamallard, Co fermanagh, N. ireland.

I have always had an interest in the countryside and enjoy rough shooting, it is rough as I cant hit a barn door at 10 paces, but thats not the reason I love it so much.

Have reared a small number of pheasants under banties for some land i shoot , but over the last year or two vermin seem to be getting more than me (Buzzards and foxey) . With this in mind I have decided to look at vermin control for the the next year or so and forget about pheasants and hopefully strike a balance-- eventually. Got the idea from reading a book by Archie Coates and his little ten acre farm.

I hope to get my son involved, but a playstation is more fun,i will just have to keep working on him.

Please forgive me if I ask some daft questions as I get more involved and thanks to John B for answering some of my questions already.
