ratting withn the dogs tonight

Recommended Posts

had a phine call about 7 ish from me mate wanting to know if i9 wanted to go ratting tonight up the pig farm got there about 7.30 took midge my pat x norfolk this time let the little jack rest up as she got battered last time out 8 bites by 1 rat!!!! well it was her first big doe so she had to learn somewhere. met me mate in the yard and headed off to 1 of our favourite barns they hide behind the feeder troffs. we spotted our first long tail wedged behind the troff along out came the handy tile batern (skinny piece of wood) a few pokes later and a little chasing about our first long tale was dispatched by my mates jack pepsi. midge was none amused as he wanted it. we then headed around the next lot of pens but to no avail so we headed off to the sugar beet pad up the road a silent aproach and on with the lamps dogs had a 30 yrd dash to catch up with the long tail thsi time it was midges turn but the little fecker squeazed through a gap in the wall but he spotted a runner to his right a short charge and he got his first of the night a nice large doe again. the only problem was that it wasdown the slurry end both dogs covered head to toe. returned to the pig farm and mist a sitter in the end of the yard. had quick look round the rest of the yard but nothing about aso decided to call it a night at 1 a peice and home for a bath. sorry no pics as of yet as puppr chewed through phone cable to pc. am off out again sunday this time shall take pics.
