DIDO.1 22,864
Im looking to buy hazel or willow for hurdle making. Either bundles or unharvested. If anyone know anywhere from the midlands to scotland that can supply let me know. Cheers, Ian.

peefa 0
I have a fair bit of hazel on my own land which i hav started to coppice for fire wood. Is it worth me coppicing for hurdles or thatch i.e is there any money in it. Not being a greedy kind like but any income from my land is allways welcome
DIDO.1 22,864
If you can supply it mate i'll buy it!!
peefa 0
I have no knowledge on this subject whatsoever! So i am going to need some education. As i said i am coppicing for firewood and as such letting my stems grow between three and four inches and because of surrounding trees these tend to grow very tall very quick. Can you give me a minimum amount that you would need at what sort of sizes and is this a one off or ongoing concern. If as i suspect it is an ongoing concern would it be worth planting a larger area.
