might not be spotting them or thinks she int goona get to them, ie too close to the headge id just give her nice easy slips get her confidence right up, then ease her onto the longer slips with time ,too many silly slips at that age can break a young un, all the best with her

thats what i thought she was'nt spotting them but i dare say she must of done as i've got quite close to them in the middle of the feild she sets off as if she seen them runs to point where you think she gonna go all the way but no she turns round and comes back had her on a veriety of feilds when been out with her ie vermin wire, some little feilds to big feilds.the slips i've give her i thought she'd run them with ease.i'll let you know next time how she does.thanks hl

She's a baby yet.......and she will have plenty of time to come good. She seems an intelligent bitch ......she's not seeing the ones at the extreme of the beam and doesn't see the point of running for no reason. Take that as a good sign, and as suggested give her some nice easy slips to build her confidence up and she will turn out a "Good Un" I'm sure. More potenially good dogs are ruined by entering too early in my opinion, so take it nice and slowly, you wouldn't expect a boy to do a mans job would you.....Good Luck.

I had the same problem with my bitch, going really well then started doing the same thing. My bitches problem was she was coming in season, could this be your dogs problem too?atb JB

she's done the same started off really well, then starting to do this no she had a season at 10 mth which that held me up getting her out at that time so now she's 12 mth i thought this is the time now to get her going.atb hl

just an up date, took my bitch out last night first feild vermin wire my mate slips first my bitch up on her back legs bouncing to be off, next slip mine off she goes on to the rabbit but yapping she caught it brought it back to hand praised her highly.next feild walks upto a sitter slips her no yapping i thought thats better brought it back to hand.said to my mate she's getting better, walk a couple more feilds slip her on a rabbit not too far away she went down the beam so far then turned back,i thought no not again,so decided to walk back towards the motor found a sitter she had it at the end of her nose sets off but did'nt get it.so all in all she caught 3 rabbits out of 6/7 slips.
