micky 3,325
Theres a sand pit near to were i live and its full of rabbits, i leave them be as a rule , as its a very dodgy place, but today for some reason i had the urge to set a few traps, setting in sand is easy enough ,its the pegs that are the problem so i tie were i can,or use a 12 inch wood peg . The sides of this pit are near vertical and theres no way out of this deep water,so you have to be careful, we shall see what turns up in the morning, Winds getting up you lampers ,and its nice and mild. I lifted the traps early this morning, not a sniff of a rabbit ,just this gentleman,i was late setting them yesterday ,and they had to come out today ,if they had been left down a bit longer i,am sure they would have nabbed a few , Stubby the traps are down the holes, and covered in peat and a slight top dressing of sand, the second picture shows a trap tied onto a log, CAN YOU SEE THE LOG? :piggy: Quote Link to post
