never lamped one never will its a thing that was taught to me from an early age its called having respect for your quarry most dogs could kill one at night it doe,snt make it a hare dog totally different animal in the day seen men get there head punched in for bragging about killing hares on the lamp, but it goes on it always will but dont kid yourselve,s that you,ve got hare dogs
Great Quote :good::good:

see, when one sees replies like that it shows how inexperianced a person is,come here and i will produce 5 hares on the lamp and your coursing dog wont retreave 2 this lamping hares pre ban of coarse :clapper: is easy is the biggest load of bollox since the labour government got into power,grow up the lot of you and get out there and see how easy it is

your right benten, some places make it easy to kill in the day and hard at night. but i could put 20 daytime hares in front of you , and you would catch nothing :thumbs:

i will take that fella,i will pm you my number,now dont be shy and hide behind the keyboard ;)

As long as there not shot or caught in nets but to say there easy at night is wrong,people who lamp on a regular basis will no you can get easy ones and then theres the ones what you cant even get a bend on it its same for rabbits some nights ther easy then you can get the ones what leave your dog standing,thing is they dont run no slower at night

My opinion is i would rather see a dog behind them than them getting shot atleast they no whats coming where as they havent a chance when a cross is on them,hares and dogs dont go together for you chimp anyway you dont even own a dog

i never run hares when i had the mutts and im in around the fens . so your right dogs and hares and me dont go.

i will continue to shoot as many as i can and i will be thinking of you while im doing it :) atb

oh and i must add i have no problem dogmen taking hare fox or anything else its just a shame some cannot support others doing ALL forms of hunting , just goes to show how much grey matter they have

Forgot to add, I also used to follow the Newcastle Beagles; should THEY not be allowed to hunt hares ????

Cheers.

thats what I dont like.. when people turn against fellow huntsmen for doing things differently... as long as the hare is given the upmost respect, not over hunted or killed during breeding season then good luck to you whatever method you use.

I often follow the Newcastle beagles as well, great little hounds!!
