Tyla 3,179 Posted October 7, 2009 Report Share Posted October 7, 2009 My mate is having woman trouble and neither of us has any work on at the moment so we went to one of my permissions for a bit of sport. Hes a keen carp fisherman and there is a private lake on the ground and any amount of game so theres plenty to do . Typically it pissed down all the way through but we had a good time anyway. We did a little bury on the first day and got two bunnies for dinner. i took Tyla for a mouch while he set up his rods and made dinner. She flushed and caught a rabbit and then she retrieved her first hare, i was absolutely stoked as its only the second one she has ever seen We did another couple of buries the next day, in between the rain, as the farmers daughter had asked for rabbits. i also shot a couple of collared doves and a woody. The woody went into a curry with the hare that night My mate hadnt had much luck on the rods until today then got one that night of 8lb and another today of 15lb. Apart from the weather, which was shit, we had a great time and some good sport. i was made up with Tyla after the hare retrieve but it made her a touch lame and so i didnt lamp her as i planned which was a pity and the weather meant we didnt do much ferreting. i had a good recce of the buries though and looks like we will have plenty to go at this season! The 15lb one in the daytime pic. its a private lake so the fish are untouched, no manky mouths or fins from overfishing. One of the family caught a 22lb one recently and thats the biggest i've heard caught from there. Quote Link to post
