Phantom 631
Well guy's After being stuck in the house all ruddy day due to it raining on and off, when the weather began to clear up I decided to go bop some bunnies. Get to my verbal permission and look over the gate :search: , dozens of little fluffy fresh meals hopping around Usually when there out in force like that I'm in for at least one every 30 mins in the cemy (which backs onto this land). So I carry on, go into the secluded part laid my poncho on the deck and check my zero at 30 yards. I had pumped the gun up before I set off so I knew it would be out. seven or eight shots later the pellets are scuttling each other up the skirts I love my gun Happy as Larry, I get up feeling lucky; Walked over to my bag to get my hat and cammo gloves on when I notice the ruddy great black clouds that had magically appeared from the South Figured I'd have a good half hour before I got wet. Got half way down the length of the cemy and I noticed a few spots of rain dropping Quickly walked back, put my baby back in her slip just as the heavens opened. Grabbed my Poncho and put it on. Sat on the bench for half an hour (figured I'd wait it out)while the rain bounced off the grass. The poncho did a great job of keeping me, my bag and gun slip bone dry and the bench. Never really realised just how big these things are. Anyways, the rain stopped but it was still to dark to begin another trip around the graves so I headed home. Good job I did; Just as I got in, it pi$$ed it down again. I got this brand new from a local(ish) surplus store for a fiver. Well worth the money. I've only used it as a hide before, but the best thing is that it folds up so small it fits in the thigh pocket of my dpm trousers with ease. Excellent piece of kit. Phantom 631
Can it double up as tent if you were out all night Yep, I've seen them used exactly as a bivvy shelter. I am thinking of using it as one when it gets darker, so I can lay up in wait (use my sleeping bag to keep warm on a roll mat) and pull an all nighter near the biggest warren. I'm going to have an adaptor made so I can use the NV video cam A-focally on the scope When it gets quiet I can have a kip, ready for the morning barrage of lead to feed the bunnies Phantom Quote Link to post
