.Joe 0
I recently had to dispatch the largest Roe buck in the 20+ that are on my permission. He'd been hit by a car a while back and is a shame as he looked to have been a sizeable buck in his day. Antlers measure 28.2cm and 19cm at the widest point. Symetrical 6 pointer. Im not up on deer heads but he certainly looks the part. Quote Link to post

It doesnt have too much of a hold on me as it was only a dispatch. My permission that this was on, has a decent amount of Roe on it, but due to the land being a flood plain and being able to see from one side clearly across all 500+ acres has meant that it hasnt been shot, and the local FAO wont even consider it certified for a rimmy as it is all split up by main roads. A real shame to be honest. Joe. Quote Link to post
Yokel Matt 918
Tragic that what an animal - hopefully he'll have had a good season and passed his excellent genes onto the next generation. Quote Link to post
wireviz 8
Joe flat ground is a problem and certainly needs a bit of though but a few well placed high seat will put you at a perfect angle to shoot a beast and keep the cops happy. Even if your ground is split in half 250 acres is plenty of ground to have a centre fire on. Just do a risk assessment and tell them you want clearance on it they cant refuse. Quote Link to post
martin 332
Joe,that is a hell of a head mate, well worth cleaning off.By the way the smallest piece of ground I have permission for a centrefire on(.204cal & .243cal)is about 20acres,so,as has been suggested mate, get the highseats up and get stuck into them Roe..............Martin.
