sparko 0
Hi, my two polecats are coming up on 12 weeks now and are doing well, feeding solely on james wellbeloved, with the occasional rabbit head thrown in to fight over ( only for a day or so)....I have been taking them out to our local playing field regularly, where they mooch about In the scrub and dig a lot.....Now they are spending more time out in areas that are used by other animals, I was wondering If there was a need to get them jabbed against some of the nasties out there.....Advice please anyone....Thanks...Mark Quote Link to post
JoeD 24
You can get a jab for Canine Distemper but a lot of ferret owners don't. Hope this helped. JoeD Quote Link to post
stubby 175
have never had ferts jabbed, why not give them the whole rabbit, or half, rather than just the head Quote Link to post

Guest lavyheed
I didn't think the CD vaccine was registered for ferrets in the UK. Anybody else heard/have views on this? Quote Link to post

Not sure about that but I know some ferret owners do get it done. I don't but the college ferrets do and someone near me who has pet ferrets does to. JoeD Quote Link to post
droid 11
I didn't think the CD vaccine was registered for ferrets in the UK. Anybody else heard/have views on this? Very few medicines are licensed for ferrets. The jill jab is about the only one. Lack of licensing for ferrets can't be used as a reason for not vaccinating. Quote Link to post
