I put a few wires out just then, Plenty of wind and it has started to rain. Hopefully the rain dies off and the wind keeps up. Found the problem with my snares, the eye in my tealer is to big, Knot is pulling through. If i put another knot on it seems fine, hope it works.

Thought have including a small washer on the wire between the knot and the tealer ?

Not suggesting there's anything wrong with the knot method at all. Was just trying to suggest a 'quick fix' for Mitch with his over sized eyes. S'pose he could just squeeze the eye smaller.

The bummer is i have made 30 tealers but the nail on my jig was too big, oh well lesson learnt. With the addition of another knot to the double knot, it seems to work perfectly.
