huggy89 29
a think you would mate a think when you line a smooth bitch to a fetherd dog the pups cum smooth and when you put a fetherd bitch to smooth dog you get a mixed bag and what breed are the dogs Quote Link to post
Meerihunter 7
Typically you need the recessive feathered gene on both sides as smooth is dominant over feathered. What is the breeding of the sire? Quote Link to post
markdog 18
Typically you need the recessive feathered gene on both sides as smooth is dominant over feathered. What is the breeding of the sire? recessive gene both sides? so 2 heavily saluki blooded dogs with smooth coats could potential produce feathered pups Quote Link to post
Terrie 12
The male as far as i am lead to belive is a first cross saluki/grey Quote Link to post
Meerihunter 7
In that case you should have the potential for feathered pups. Quote Link to post

Terrie 12
So why, if you decide do you want to breed? Well IF the dog's "make the grade" then maybe years down the line i would maybe like to line the two depending on how they do i was asking as some people are more clued upon the genetics side of things than me! Not that i should need to explain myself Quote Link to post
