jwolfend 0
Greetings from Australia. Been reading the forum for a little while now, and have made a couple of contributions. Thought I'd say g'day and introduce my rabbitn dog. Dog's name's Rhett - he's probably a German Shepherd x Australian Kelpie - picked him up from the local pound so not too sure. Went out lamping tonight, and after a few runs he picked up a young 'un. Damn but he was pleased with himself! Me too Brought it home and he got a nice treat for dinner! Not sure if I can show the pic of the skun rabbit, but it should be OK I'm hoping. Just shows there's a big range of dogs that can run down a rabbit! The daylight pic was when he was 9 months - he's about 17mths now. Edited September 8, 2009 by jwolfend Quote Link to post

jwolfend 0
Good man 'Do you do any other type of hunting? Yep. There are some rather large 'rabbits' over here that have long tails. Good low fat healthy meat! Get a few of them (with 22-250 centrefire or similar). Also wild pigs - my son goes after them with a couple bull mastiff x great danes - lots of despatching with knife at close range. A bit hairy that with the big old boars ... Fox shooting is OK - either on the whistle with a 12g shotgun, or by light with centre fire. Edited September 8, 2009 by jwolfend Quote Link to post
