sadly a good friend of mine was very upset this morning as her whippet bitch has totally refused to have anything more to do with her 10 pups , at just over 4 weeks , ive said ill take them in here and raise them the rest of the way without the bitch anywhere near , these pups are for sale in the for sale sect and will be pics added later after they arrive , i have the grandparents to these pups and the relatives have been exceptionally good mothers so im a little sad to see this happen , i have no worries they are and will be fine but rearing these almost by hand for last week has taken its toll on the owner

will keep you updated , i think at min im only having the dog pups here

having had similar hapen, id say that if weaning were started and progressed a little quicker than normal, then the best place would still be with the bitch, as she then has the opportunity to teach them herself, which is always much better than a totally human reared puppy. it maybe that the breeder hasnt been trimming pups nails and shes getting hurt, or maybe the breeder is keeping them in with her too much and she needs to just be in with them much less. better to try this than remove the litter, although at 4 weeks they technically could be weaned and removed easliy, its not the best outcome for a sound mental attitude in later life.

ive personally gone and made a 60 mile round trip to do the nails etc , also we have limited the time the bitch has been in with the pups , down to just morn and evening , but now bitch is ready to kill the pups , im not prepared to let that happen , first litter and 10 pups has taken its toll sadly
