OldTrapCollector 376 Posted September 6, 2009 Report Share Posted September 6, 2009 John Your round top entry trap there is actually a crayfish trap, but could easily be used as a sparrow trap it being similar to the GILPA sparrow trap in size and manufacture. I have not seen any top entry type rat traps in my researching - perhaps they are, as you say, just too clever, or too suspicious to go in in the fist place OTC Quote Link to post

IVE SEEN SIMILAR TRAPS BUT WITH GALVANISED TIN THE LAST FEW INCHES ON THE FUNNEL ......... AN OLD PIGEON MAN I KNOW HAS REAL PROBLEMS WITH MICE ... DUE TO LOCATION ....... HE LOVES THE TINCAT TRAPS AND HAS TWO DIFFERENT TYPES ,....... A WYND UP VERSION AND A SELF ENTRY ....... I HAD A SHOCK ONE DAY A FEW YRS AGO WITH THE WYND UP VERSION ......... THOUGH IT WAS HIS OLDEST AND NO DOUBT CARRIED THE MOST SCENT ........ I BELIVE HE BOUGHT ALL FROM BLACKPOOL PIGEON SHOW YRS AGO ...............
