Lead ban for rifle bullets

Recommended Posts

Hi All !

How many of you know a ban on lead in rifle bullets is on the cards ? I was told with in 20 years .

If you think shooting is expensive now wait till this comes into force ! Just price up bismuth or heavy shot ,shotgun cartridges to give you an idea. About £1-1.30 a bang in the shotgun.

NOW is the time to push BASC/and all the others to stop this in it's tracks !

They just can't stop meddling can they? I thought lead was banned on the waterways because it was being digested by filter feeding birds, nothing else. I don't see what's to gain by banning it out right in ammunition.

they were discussing a ban on all lead ammo in germany apparently carrion being taken by large raptors( sea eagle/osprey etc etc) are containing lead splinters.forestry in brandenburg has it in place. a water fowl lead ban is in place.

the general opinion over there is that anything other than lead is no good( not as good balisticly)

i believe that scandinavien countries have the ban already.

the spineless government will follow the lead of the eu no doubt, and probably put a tax on it too.

happy shooting fellas.

Anybody up to start a move to use Depleted Uranium Shot? Heavier than lead, uses up a waste product, seriously pi**es off all sorts of antis. Can't be all bad . . .
