Guest hyperion
thought id take the afternoon off from knitting nets and have a go at making a net needle, so i grabbed the dog and a saw and went for a wonder up in the forest to find a little scrappy oak! if id thought about it id have taken pics of the whole process but i didnt! any way apart from the tools in the pics the only other tools used were the saw to whip the limb off the tree and a billhook to split the timber! took a bit of a long time but i dont have any power tools or a coping saw! its a bit rough but im pretty chuffed with it! cheers hyperion Quote Link to post

Rolfe 2
My good friend Dick Hawkins the master net maker from Buckingham who sadly died this year gave me some hand carved netting needles (among some other items) they are fantastic to use. He gave me two Rabbit needles, a Fox net needle and even a tiny one for knitting rat nets. Quote Link to post
