Guest DogFaceKillah
Doing the beating with the gamekeepers sam and stuart good ol days great atmosphere and pi$$ up after in southport Dick Houghton retired as Lord Levenhulme's greyhound trainer and George Rimmer both lived on Altcar great characters, sadly Stuart Wilcock died shortly after retiring and not long after Dick Houghton died as well, Sam B took over as headkeeper but after the last Waterloo the estate was split up and Sam was working for a syndicate, Richard his underkeeper left and was working the doors in Manchester Y.I.S Leeview sad really richard was good keeper, if im not mistaken he lost his job as he was emplyed by the coursing club, sam ran shooting thing, rich was the hare side of things, but also ran a beat on the shoot aswell Quote Link to post
Leeview 792
We all have great memories throuought our lives, Holidays, birthdays, weddings, travels, xmas, ect ect but i can honestly hand on heart say Altcar, Lydiate THE WATERLOO CUP were by far the most enjoyable and memorable Days of my life to date. Great Dogs, sport , craic and merriment, The amount of freindships born on those Coursing grounds between total strangers are uncalcuable. I live in hope that its one day Re born when commonsence prevails. VERY TRUE WORDS maxhardcore tell me do you still get a Xmas card from the West Lancs Constabulary One thing they have nt found out yet how to take memories away from us Y.I.S Leeview Quote Link to post

dytkos 17,935
No cards from Lancs lol but still keep in regular contact with friends born from the Waterloo from Wales up to Scotland. If you take a minute and think of all the people you know and call a friend and how you know them, a great amount will be thru the Dogs. Getting pissed with the boys from Merthyr, getting paid for watching the sport (Marshalling), getting done for drink driving, the craic in the Scarri, fantastic days, some of my best ever times. Cheers, D. Quote Link to post
