john horgan 0 Posted August 9, 2006 Report Share Posted August 9, 2006 hows th goin... could any one tell me how does the big wire hoop stuck into the ground work.. i only ever tied my snares to bushes and fences..i used to make them about 3 to 4 ft long and just tie them that way but yesterday i cut up about 4 snares and made 25 of the ones with a peg and tealer..i was wasting a lot of wire i suppose.. just back from cutting pegs in a valley down the road and im goin out to set some 'peg and tealer' style.. i would appriecate any info or pics on making snares and buying wire too if any one can help me.. thanks alot lads..john.. Rabbithunter 456 Posted August 9, 2006 Report Share Posted August 9, 2006 Hoop snares - they work in light soily or sandy ground. The wire must be high tensile. the rabbit hits the snare which is attached to the hoop. With the wire being high tensile, it just bends and springs back, if it wasnt high tensile it would bend and not spring back, the hoop would come out. Dont worry, the hoops definatly work no matter how it seems to the untrained eye Quote Link to post
