Bush Rummager 4,769
Got my brothers Sigma 105 2.8 macro lense on loan for a while, dropped lucky with one of those rare moments in life when the sun was actually shining and throwing good light, so i grabbed our lasses Asda lilleys off the table and came up with this, must have taken about 40 shots with this being the only one worth keeping... notice the depth of field! its very hit and miss ( more miss than hit ) to work with, but worth it when you pull it off.. J Darcy 5,871
I use a focussing rail for lots of my macro. I shoot a Sigma 150 macro and have to say its tack-sharp! Good pick bush rummager..
Bush Rummager 4,769
Cheers for all the comments.. gillies, thats exactly what i ended up doing and using my other hand to steady the flower, bit breezey.. JD, must admit i iant got a clue what a focusing rail is, but does sound like thats what i need! I'll look it up, might just be tempted to invest in one... cheers for the tip.... J Darcy 5,871
If you cannot get a tripod to it mate then the focusing rail will be useless. I only use it for the studio stuff. and its best to have a cable release to avoid shanke...if at all possible... speedgraphic sells them..
