Guest hyperion
had a phone call this afternoon from one of my shooting buddies saying one of his mates dogs had picked up a ferret while out on their walk! he had called the rspca and been told they would try to get out some time over the weekend to pick it up so...................... "hello mate want a ferret?" ERRRRRRR!!! a quick phone call to my mate kat and we were off to pick up the ferret and wondering what kind of night mare it was going to be! turns out apart from being a bit thirsty hes in tip top shape with not a mark on him and just as tame as you like, with in minutes of getting to my mates place he was sat on my shoulder cleaning the wax out of my ears! he was found on private land by the sole permission holder so who knows where he came from! heres a few pics editted to say hes not a youngster as he has lost one of his canine teeth at some point along the way (snapped off and well healed) but he isnt all that big for a hob and as far as i can see is still whole! cheers hyperion Edited August 7, 2009 by hyperion Quote Link to post

johnmac666 2
cracking looking ferret , sounds like some one has been sneaking around doing a bit of over the shoulder ferreting what are your plans with him, new blood to introduce to the team ?? hope he turns out to be a good worker a.t.b regards john Quote Link to post
runforyourlife 361
Good that someone found the ferret before it was to late. You should now put some posters up around the area it was found so it maybe returned to the owner...... Like you say it isnt a youngster, and seems very well trained, someone may well be looking for it... One of my good workers escaped from the pen, fortunatly someone who found her handed her in. Even tho it was 11miles away i was still happy to have her returned...... Quote Link to post

May be a kid, or an elderly guy....Doesnt matter where he was found, a ferret can cover a lot of ground in a few hours, never mind afew days in search of food.... You wouldnt just keep a dog you found wondering around lost would you, its still someones pet wether it be a ferret or a horse.. Quote Link to post
