jackard 36
thats why they eat horse sht ( its only grass ) and dont throw it up its already been digested .+ it contains bacteria that they need. SO IF YOU DOG EATS HORSE SHT DONT STOP IT FROM DOING IT ATB JACKARD [/quot They also eat human shit....sorry mate I disagree with you on this...eating shit whether its animal or human leaves the dog open to parasites...worms etc and it also smells when they lick your face...eating any kind of shit is to be discouraged a dog is nothing but a wild animal DOMESTICATED and if they was to live in the wild they would eat it as there is bacteria in shit that the dog needs but there is also some stuff in it that we dont want the dog to get i.e worms for 1 , dogs get worms anyway its up to us to keep up to worming the dog . how does an animal in the wild cope with worms or mange ? as ive dug foxes with mange and mths later dug the same fox with a full coat , so how does the fox over come this ? because out there some where is a natural cure , its just we dont know it . what im getting at is what disgusts us with what a dog will eat might be ok for the dog , if the dog didnt want to eat it it wouldnt . and as for open to parasites dont you think licking its own arse or its bollocks or fanny or even sniffing other dogs arses dont leave it wide open. i think so . A DOG IS A DOMESTICATED WILD ANIMAL AND ITS ALWAYS OPEN TO PARASITES . ATB JACKARD Quote Link to post

sandymere 8,263
Most dogs I've owned have eaten young fresh grass I expect iot's a bit like a side salad lol. Eating horse shite is not uncommon when I've taken a dog on but it seems to stop with regular cooked veg in the diet. As I don't feed barf i can't say for raw. Cooking and a horse digestion, it would seem, release whatever nutrients the dog is after and you'll likely reduce the incidence of parasites if the dog isn't eating crap. Quote Link to post

Cooking and a horse digestion, it would seem, release whatever nutrients the dog is after and you'll likely reduce the incidence of parasites if the dog isn't eating crap. thats why i feed barf every thing raw ,my dogs eat raw veg liquidized with cottage cream and clad milk which puts back bactria that i dog needs and they get this twice a week and my dogs dont seam to eat grass or horse sht as much now. if i have to give the dog a jab of penicilin i will give the dog a few doses of actimel ( to put back friendly bactria ) that the penicilin will kill off but every carnivore when it kills to eat will eat the stomach contents first. most animals killed will be veggie eaters and the stomach contents are already digested plants . i dont encorage my dogs to eat horse shit but if im out in the field i wouldnt stop them now ( it isnt as tho they get a belly full of the stuff ) the dog know more of what it needs than i do Quote Link to post
