BellySlater 15
I was sat at home supposed to be working watching the rain It was really pissing down out there when i decided to test out my Barbour jacket after a "home" re-wax. Took the 100 for a stroll around a lake that I fish where I have permission to wack the magpies and pigeons The Barbour was holdiong up well and not leaking at all..... as I stood there like a right knob in the rain without a bird in sight. Decided to peer over the fence and see what was going on in the neighbouring field and there it was....... a rabbit rave was going on...hundreds of them partying in the rain. I knelt down as quietly as I could, I could hear my heart crashing into my jacket ! Took aim at the closest rabbit to me... he looked a little small and my soppy side kicked in The second furthest away looked a little more suitable for the pot, his card was now marked. I tried to remember my range practice and used the mil dots accordingly. I don't know which was twitching faster...his nose or my ass ! Pulled the trigger and he dropped like a stone, two kicks and then nothing. My first rabbit. Going to have him for tea with a shed load of elderflower champagne !!! Happy Days. Quote Link to post

borntoshoot 1
hows your champagne ggone? one bottle of mine blew up in the shed and one is in the cupboard, i used 2 litre drink bottles, i can tell ya that made a good mouse trap, it was so sticky, i couldnt get all of it up as it is a wood floor in the shed, went down to she shed in a week or so to find a small mouse laying down stuck to the fecking floor that made me laugh when my mum noticed it. Guest Scuba1
And with this little experiment you have now found out why they don't sell bubbly in tetra packs but in rather thick walled glass bottles with the cork tied down with bits of wire. Its not just because it looks cool :D ATB Michael Quote Link to post

Guest Scuba1
I don't want to piss on your camp fire here, but what is the point of brewing all that stuff if you are going to launch it into orbit every time you open a bottle to get at it???? ATB Michael Quote Link to post

ATB Michael didnt do it on purpose, that was the first time i made ginger beer and didnt know it would be that explosive, and the elderflower blew up because i forgot about thet bottle in there and didnt vent the gas a small ammount every 2 weeks like is reccomended. (just to add, we did she secong ginger beer bottle outside like that because we knew we wouldnt be able to open it properly without it doing that anyway.) Quote Link to post

davyt63 1,845
well done buddy on your first bunny & nice shooting and rifle now can i just add to part of your post { highlighted } quote BellySlater Decided to peer over the fence and see what was going on in the neighbouring field and there it was....... a rabbit rave was going on...hundreds of them partying in the Pulled the trigger and he dropped like a stone, two kicks and then nothing. if this other field was part of your permission? then i apologies!!. but if its not then you clearly broke the law as your pellet left its permission's boundaries, i know temptation is there but is it really worth loosing your air rifle, for the sake of a bunny. happy hunting davy Quote Link to post
hw100sniper 2
Agree with davyt BS really nice shooting if is on your permission and congrats but if its on the next farm not worth losing such a great rifle for the price of a rabbit Quote Link to post
