quick mooch about

Recommended Posts

got talking to mexlad earlier and we decided to go lamping tonight for a couple of hour.

i'm not really one for waiting so i asked him if he fancied a trip out for half an hour to make sure my scopes we zeroed. :D

He got his new pup, which is an absolute belter and we headed off to the gun shop to charge my rifle and get some more targets.

once that was sorted we were on our way. wasnt expecting to get anything as we were just walking about while i should him where we could set up tonight.

spotted a rabbit about 25yard away sat with his back to me having a little munch.

BAD IDEA sunshine. :hunter: one in the back of the head and its lights out thumper ! :D had a little wander after that and spotted a couple of magpies flapping about, got rested on a fence and WHACK ! nicely done. my first magpie :clapper: went to retrieve it, but when i picked it up it was still blinkin, heart beating strong as ever. even with a pellet hole in the back of its head and blood oozing out???? anyway gave him one from point blank to sort him out.

has anybody seen anything like this before????

anyway, half an hour later we went home with a rabbit and a magpie so that was the ferrets snap sorted and a skin for mexlads dummy for the pup to retrieve. :toast:

when we left i realised i had left my quick fill adaptor at the gun shop, so ive got around 30 shots left for tonight. out at 11 so hopefully we will get a few and maybe get another write up sorted out.

happy hunting all
