stevesel 18
I find that ferreting permission is most easily got, without a dog at first, then bring the dog when you have got to know the farmer and show him that its stock steady. After a bit ask him about running the dog at night. it has worked for me. Farmers are usually a cagey lot and take some convincing, think about it would you let someone you dont know wander around your property at night unsupervised killing things ? Quote Link to post
