IanB 0
Its recommended you snare away from any form of entanglement that being fences, branches, anything a snare can wrap around, but thats not always practical, its also recommended you use a swivel to aid movement and comfort, but on a fence a swivel is pointless.. On runs and trails set the snares 10" to the bottom of the noose loop, you obviously have room for slight error in your height with the vertical height of the loop, give or take a couple of inch, ensure you have a deer stop set also, especially on woodland trails... Ensure you have permission from the landowner and have means to humanely dispatch... Snaring is very much in the spotlight at the minute, do not snare were there is a chance of walkers or any public areas i.e footpaths also ensure 100% that the owner of land has allowed you to assist in his problem using snares and knows exactly were they are...Check them daily.
