lmv123 1
hi folks Im writing in with a querry regarding my freinds terrier . When she first came into season at six months old he noticed that her genitals were pushed out of her back end 2 or 3 inches ,he then took the bitch to the vet and the vet examined her and told him that it was prolaps of the celvix and the only option was to have her neutered. My freind considered breeding this dog but is it possible.

Cold Ethyl 63
I wouldnt if it was me she could prolapse again and possibly have further problems that could lead to her dying or having to be pts cos of the damage
night moocher 41
prolaps on a 6 month cycle is a bad sign, theres nothing stopping the bitch taking and going full time with pups .but birthing will make her prolaps far greater than on a normal cycle. put it this way she never pushed on her normal breaking down ,so just imagine when shes whelping pups ,i fear a vet job to put her back right..............steve
