Come on lads he may just not know.

No Tatty those kind of pea shooters are not at all suitable to shoot at any live quarry with as you would only injure it and that is not in the game plan.

You will need to have a look at air rifles that have in the region of 10 to 11.5ft/lbs of power if you are after bunny and co. and even then you will need a lot of target practice before you can shoot at anything living.

Yes Michael,

You are quite correct :icon_redface: we were all newbies once upon a long time ago.

Lets try again Tatty,

Welcome to the forum B)

Now if you own such a peashooter and you are not a reg'd skirmisher, get rid down the local police stattion or sell it quick sharp to someone who IS a skirmisher.

Then buy an air rifle, but looking at your tag and the question you asked I'm assuming (perhaps and quite probably incorectly :icon_redface: ) that the 93 is the year you were born?

If thats the case you wont be able to buy an air rifle :(

Silly UK government demands that you require a permit to shoot those things, despite them only being able to (if your close enough) bruise your skin

Best bet if you want to get into Hunting is go find a local club and kill lots and lots of paper and metal targets until your a proficient shooter :)

Then you may well find someone who is a member of the club who may let you go and learn how to hunt with him/her :)

Maltenby does not in any way condone the use of a soft air gun to shoot noisy, dirty, arrogant, orange-welly-wearing, aggressive, chip stealing, bin ripping, child waking Seagulls up the backside to clear them off the roof of your property on bin day. The above comment should be taken in jest.

I know mate. I am waiting for a call from a lawyer any day now because someone may have dropped a part of a weather station on his foot and it was my idea building them.
