mushroom 14,207
What did you decide Elisderyn? I'm hoping to go to Vegas to get married (thought it was the right tine after 27 years living together ) Thinking of not declaring my 'threatening behaviour liable to cause a breach of the peace' but the travel agent told me that she knew someone that got turned away in the States and was carted away in handcuffs and put on the next plane home which apparently cost him a fortune! Have also been told that motoring offences that resulted in a court appearance also count this happened to my mate he went and was carted off and sent back on the next plane not sure how they knew he was/is a nutter he was also told not to bother comming back but he went on a trip to ireland to go to the US embassy (closer than London and he and the mrs fancied a p1ss up) and sorted he got a visa got to NewYork on the second day though unfortunatley he got arrested for their version of drunken disorderly/affray and was booted out of the country again and guess what.... told not to come back think he's planning another trip to ireland sorry the point was he filled out forms on plane and put no to everything (he has a record longer than the pre 73 thread ) and he was still sent back he does look dogy as fec though Edited July 10, 2009 by mushroom
davyt63 1,845
Basically do you risk filling in the form on the plane & just fib a bit & write "No" about criminal convictions or do you apply for a Visa ............. I have asked people & been online looking & its about 50/50 at the moment & basically as long as prison wasnt involved you should be ok by not admitting anything.......... My missus is stressing me out about it & I dont know what to do to be honest...... hi elisderyn i went to america last year, and i have several convictions all be it over twenty years ago. "i got in" i filled the form on the plane and said no. nowadays you dont fill in the form on the plane any more you have to do it prior to going there, not to sure where on the net but get it done before you go otherwise you will not get in to the country.after five years all convictions are spent so if you have any thing under five years then declare it.hope this helps,if you need to pm me ,then do so regards davy
