runforyourlife 361
What half wits are these "RICH"! It all depends pal were you are ferreting..... If you are on keepered land, they will tell you when they want you to start!!!!! I was out yesterday, I am wanted out there all year round, killing as many rabbits as poss..... My keeper says, "its simple, if you dont like it, i will find someone who does!" If it is for pleasure, start in september mate, its easier than having to dig to lots of killed young pal...... In fact RICH THE RABBITER, if you cant give a constructive answer without trying to stare trouble, dont bloody bother!!! Quote Link to post

John-B 4
Remeber this mate, you should only ferret when there's a letter "R" (for rabbit) in the month Quote Link to post

runforyourlife 361
Imagine the farmers face, when he rings you and says can you come and sort this fox problem out, and you reply. " cant do it the moment because they have young!!" At the end of the day, if its pest control, we'll say it yet again, " all year" At the end of the day, it all depends how guilty you feel!! killing young bunnies..... Yesterday killed 19 adults, and only 3 young.... Quote Link to post
John-B 4
If farmer rings to get rid of rabbits out of season they are killed with Air Rifles or dogs, I understand that not everyone can do that but thats our solution to it. Quote Link to post

I would tend to agree with John. I control rabbits all year round, but vary my methods accordingly. I haven't ferreted since March.. Had a farmer ring me yesterday asking me to ferret 1000 acres NOW, because he had been let down ......... But he was more than satisfied to accept a few lamping sessions until Autumn . Apparently the last sporstman pulled the plug cause he didnt want to ruin next years sport . Quote Link to post
