stealthy1 3,964
Yo Airgunners, tried to put this up last night but my ISP was playing up Anyway, went to a piece of land with pasture on one side and barley on the other, arrived about seven, got set up in a what I thought was a nice little spot, I could hear the rabbits moving around in the undergrowth, just sat there admiring the wildlife as you do when bunnie number one popped out, this had to be the smallest kit I've seen this year, it must only have been two and a half inches sat up, was'nt big enough for the sandwich toaster never mind me or the ferrets so let him pass, there's always another day for him ten minutes later one of his mates popped out, now he was big enough to feed a ferret, whack! and the first one is on the scoreboard, always nice to get that first one, its like fishing, you know your not going to blank I could here the bunnies moving around in the under growth but could'nt understand why they would'nt come out, then it hit me The little gits were going out into the barley field, so I crawled through the nettles to the barley field, and boy do they sting this time of the year , no wonder buttterflies lay there eggs on them. Got to the other side to see a big buck standing gaurd ten feet out into the feild, whack! add bunnie number two, another hopped over to see why he was laying down on the job, so I whacked him too, that made three. Again I could here the rabbits moving around, b***ocks I thought, they're back on the pasture, so through the nettles once more I crawled Just got to the other side to see another nettle dweller sat looking around, so whacked him, four on the scorecard now, it went a little quiet for a while until I heard the the tell tale shuffling of bunnies on the move, Oh! no, they were moving back onto the barley, stuff that, no way was I going back through the nettles, so I sat and waited, you know what its like when you know you can whack another and theres nothing on your side Patience paid off when scurry number five appeared onto the scene, whack! and over it rolled, the clouds were becoming darker, so my thoughts turned to being home by the time it rained, just out of the corner of my eye I saw a twitch, sat ready and whack! number six is in the bag . It was now that my attention turned to some thing more important, dock leaves so all docked up I went home, think next time I'll take a mate with me to shoot this piece of land, he on one side and me on the other. keep at them lads. stealthy. 1 Quote Link to post
