My advice to you would be ,...NEVER allow another dog to bully your pup....

By all means continue with the socialisation business,...it is CRITICAL....

BUT,..PROTECT your young'un from divi worthless curs...

I have experienced the carnage that an unsocialized mutt can do to a VALUABLE hunting dog...

Hopefully the mental damage to your tyro is not of a permanent nature,....

Never trust folk who say to you that after their jukel has waded into your puppy ,.'Oh,.Rebel/Tyson/Rocky has never done that before'.....

Lift your pup out of their way,..stand close to these bullies and place your boots on their feet,...make them step back from you....Be the man...

Now get to it,.and walk tall for your youngster....

All the best,.CHALKWARREN....

Spot on, dont wait for it to happen, tell them to keep it away, if not do as above. Another thing i do when the dog is full grown, if the other [WANKER] wont put ther dog on a lead. I Loose my dog so he can defend it self, either to[ run or fight,] and it cant do it on a lead.? And most lurcher of 24in 59lb, like my dog are [strong+Agile] and can do alot damage, so its there[ OWN] fault

Its an interesting subject this one. My brother had a rottie pup and i used to walk it alot, the thing she used to do was stop and lay down as she noticed or could smell another dog coming her way. She would only get back up and carry on walking when that dog has passed her. She was really timid that way. But all in all she grew up to have a brilliant nature and was a lovely bitch.

My bitch has to be watched like a hawk for this kind of thing. If the other dog has a pop she goes off her rocker and wades in up to her neck and does a hell of a lot of damage for a fairly small dog.The you end up the bad git of the picture cos their dogs a pet and you have a "KILLER GREYHOUND"lol.I go off my nut when it happens cos my bitch doesnt need the experience
