Do you only see Tern's by the sea then ?

 

Thats their main habitat Kay, but Ive seen them up our river in the summer on the tidal stretch, they nest near where I live, which is great for me..they dive like gannets for sand eel and the likes..

I have just been told i saw one today over the lake i was at :laugh:

 

Bet you werent as close as this..

No it was a quick flash i saw :laugh: , how far away from the subject are you when you took the pic of the bird diving ?

A bit too far past the limit of my lense, thats how its not as sharp as usual cropped a little too much..come up as a white dot agains sea in my camera screen..

really that far away :o god thats good , but thats a seperate lense though , not the one you would get if you brought a bundle , i do need to ask you about lenses & what the measurements mean

In a bundle you usually just get a standard lense, that would do what you do as a photographer..

 

That lense that Dawnb is advertising would be right up your street, if you has a Nikon or Fuji S pro range, they usually are over £800
