johnnybravo 0
Fairly new to the sport but I'm about to get my 1st gun. I know I need to get a gun cabinet 1st but I'm not sure which one to get! People keep telling me that I should a cabinet for at least 5 guns as I will get hooked and before long I will have more than 1 gun. Really unsure as to what to buy. The two I am looking at are The Brattonsound RL5+ Which looks ok but sounds a bit too cheap at £149 http://www.guncabinetsdirect.co.uk/Bratton...0t%20%20rl5.htm Or the BURG-WACHTER Ranger A5 Gun Cabinet at £325 http://www.guncabinetsdirect.co.uk/BURG-WA...20gun%20cab.htm I really have no idea what I should be paying for a good cabinet or where I should I buy it from, I also have no idea what manufacture to pick. All help very much appreciated. Thanks in advance Edited May 28, 2009 by johnnybravo Quote Link to post
jackinbox99 41
Go for the biggest cabinet you can afford as like you say, you start of with a couple of guns, then end up with loads. Brattonsound ones are excellent. I have their 7 gun cabinet and the quality is awesome - although its a big cabinet, so you need to make sure you have the space for one. Id budget about 150 for a nice large cabinet. Only other factor is, are you going to want rifles with scopes in there? If so, make sure they will fit in the cabinet, as some are not as deep as others. Edited May 28, 2009 by jackinbox99 Quote Link to post

johnnybravo 0
Thank you but I don't really like the JFC gun cabinets plus they are more expensive. Quote Link to post
Mr_Logic 5
Ultimately a gun cabinet is just a necessity, so I would spend as little as possible. It is rare that they need to look nice, most of the time they just need to do a job. You can get some which have more secure features than others, but I work on the basis that the easiest way for a thief to get my guns is to go through my tiny house and find the keys. Therefore extra strength matters not, so I get the cheapest one to comply with licensing. Just make sure you get extra deep if it's rifles you want to store, they really are great. Quote Link to post
Piscator 0
I just picked up a Brattonsound RD7+ which is the deep 7 gun one with the vault door locking for £155 inc vat and delivery which I thought was a good deal. PM me for the supplier details if you're interested. Quote Link to post
