this evenings rabbiting

Hi all,

 

went out with the s410 after not hunting with it for a while, been using rimfire. so this evening i wanted to see if i could still stalk well, i got to within 10 yards of some rabbits so it apperas i still can . got a total bag of 13 tonight, some i couldnt find and some i didnt take pics of.

 

 

 

 

if your wandering whats in its mouth its a dandilion stalk

 

still got mixi on my shoot

 

it couldnt quite make it back to its burrow after getting shot, adrenalin got it this far i guess

i used to have a s410k nice bit of kit,only thing was i was fetched up with springers,couldnt get use to no recoil,had to go back to hw80

Excellent bag there! What technique do you use to get so close to them. I find I can sometimes get to within 20 yards of them when they are in open land, but they are getting quite nervous atm and will scarper at anything.

watch the rabbits more than anything else, as soon as they look up or freeze you must freeze as well untill they are feeding, cleaning them selvs or doing something that will keep them pre ocupied while you very slowley creep closer. i tell you the adrenlyn realy gets going when your getting that close. also. you must keep to the normal laws of stalking as well, like keeping in the shade, the wind in your face, no fast movements and be as silent as quiet.
