Charging (Divers Bottle)

Recommended Posts

I'm going to get myself a divers bottle to charge up my logun solo, currently i'm taking my rifle to a local shop and paying £4 for 200bar of pressure putting in it!!

So just a few questions about the dive bottle,

Roughly how many fills of my gun would i get from say a seven litre dive bottle?

Is there any sepcial storage requirements for them, or will it be okay in the shed?

Cheers

12.2 Litre 300 bar bottle, i'm thiinking of getting the one on this page, second item down, £219:

Its a complete kit, which i would rather buy to be honest.

So how many times do you rekon that would fill my 200bar logun?

thing what gets me, theres probably more air in our rifles than in a tractor tyre, scary!

Ok lets work this out then.

You have 300 bar in a 12 liter bottle of that you can use 100 bar as you are filling to 200.

So 12l X 100 bar is 1200l

The logun has i think a 150 cc tank 150cc times 100 bar is 15l ( because you are filling from 100 to 200 bar )

so 1200l / 15l = 80 fills

Now if the cylinder size of your gun is different just change that in the math bit and you are sorted.

top bloke

i'm paying £4 a fill at the moment just for my gun, thats around £320 for 80 fills! gotta get a bottle then!

Just make sure, that your dive shop can fill to 300bar because not all of them have the compressors to fill to that pressure. Other then that, a fill for a 12l 300 bar will cost you about the same as filling your gun at your LFD and if you have a nice chat with them it will work out cheaper still as you only ever need to top that bottle up because you only use 100 bar of it.
