Cowen bred lakelands

i'm picking up a pup in a few weeks , sired by an 8yr old John Cowen bred dog, which is still working away. don't know much about them, any opinions, pics ?

Ain't owned or seen work a Cowan bred dog for 20+ years. Back then, the dogs were of a smart type, tall and leggy. All were a bit 'gassy' and loved a tear up, especially around the 12month mark but both I owned would stay and were hard as feckin nails underground. My bitch was given the name Lassie but once entered and for the rest of her workin life we knew her as Crazyhorse! If he still breeds the same type you won't go far wrong

one of my mates had one out of cowens stuff was a black and tan, started off quite slow but then snapped was hard dog liked to mix it, and a good stayer. great little head on him. u shoudnt go far wrong with [bANNED TEXT] pup bud

thanks for the replys lads, sounds good, heres a wee snap of the bitch pup only 4/5 weeks old, dam is a liver beddy/lakeland cross, not sure of the percentage but she's definately threw more to the beddy, looking forward to getting my hands on her.

my dad worked a lot of them in his day he swar by buck dogs or cowens. like bosun 11 said hard as nails the only falt he could find with them the early stuff had a nasty temperment with other live stock he had an old red cowen dog that was still working at 13
