  1. My wife will divorce me if I spend much more money on rifles, but I will keep my eyes peeled later in the year and hope she doesn't notice lol Thanks Villaman
  2. Thanks Villaman, I will have a look that air tech, yeah Theoben must be way better than Daystate, that's why they went under Only joking mate. I've always wanted a Rapid and a Daystate, once I get the Regal sorted then a rapid or MFR will be next on the list, probably in .20 if I can find one
  3. Hello all, I hope you all had a good xmas and new year. I was toying with the idea of swapping my Regal for a Rapid, but have been talked down by my missus's uncle (Bit of a Daystate fanboy), so, if I am keeping the Regal then my only option is to send it to XTX Air and have it serviced and regulated, which I will be looking at doing once their workload is down (Feb). What I would like to know is have any of you guys had this done to their Regal? Is it much better afterwards? If you have had it done, would you recommend it or should I give up on the Regal and swap out for something else? I wo
  4. Very nice mate, like that a lot
  5. Hello guys, does anyone use crow calls? If so, which ones are best? Having some issues getting the crows within range, even with decoys.
  6. Photos when it arrives please villaman
  7. thanks thursodog, you are a true gent. The CS500 is very nice and can't recommend enough, they always seem to be on some sort of sale, so there are deals to be had. At the time of buying mine I managed to get the stippling and rosewood cap for free, pretty chuffed.
  8. going to go for Thursodog's very kind offer and get the piston done, then set back trigger and eventually Leupold. And then I'm done................
  9. Sounds awesome thanks mate, I'll strip at the weekend and give you a shout for your address to send. You're an absolute legend Thursodog!
  10. Wow that would be great thanks thursodog. I'll need some time for the dust to settle with the wife cos I've only recently bought my Regal. Would it be ok to get in touch in a couple of months?
  11. Thanks pianoman, she is special, I think my Regal may get a bit less field time now, but I personally think that you simply cannot do better than a well sorted springer. I think jonnie bravo is right, a set back trigger will be a nice addition, and at some stage another Leupold 6X42.
  12. Thanks guys, yeah she is lovely just weird to not want anything else to fit or do to her. I had a Leupold [BANNED TEXT] 6X42 on her before and it was lovely but couldn't reparallax due to being a Chinese copy (didn't pay full price or anything). So I guess my next quest will be to get a proper one of those then it'll be beyond reprieve lol
  13. Thanks for all the positive comments guys, the only thing that's bugging me (only a bit though) is the cocking arm rattle, doesn't sound as solid as it should. But this is only a minor concern and hardly worth mentioning.
  14. Ok so I won't bother then fellas, I was looking at Tinbum's drop in kits to complement the V-mach already fitted
  15. thanks, there's no spring rattle as the v-mach spring guide does it's job well. So you don't think that sleeving is worth it?
  16. Thanks Rez,it's got an older v-mach in it, sans sleeve, so would like to fit one, but only if it is going to make a difference, it's bang on now without it. However, would like to cut down the recoil as much as possible. What's the consensus on sleeving? worth it?
  17. So here she is, taken me a couple of years but she's almost ready. .22 HW80K CS500 stock Vmach kit Slimtech silencer Brass trigger guard and safety Brass screw cups (hex screws) Fitted with a Simmons prohunter 6-18X40SF All I need to do next is slieve the piston, which I require some advice for so if anyone has done it before then please chime in.

I have seen exactly this, I was out with the missus's uncle, he with a .22lr and me with a .177 Daystate Mk3, he pointed out a rabbit and I watched as his .22lr round landed in it's chest, saw the impact and the shockwave of the impact on it's body. It dropped, then immediately get up and run like nothing happened, really weird, I was convinced it wouldn't have got up from that. Unfortunately this does happen from time to time, it's never nice but one of the risks of this sport. The missus's uncle's opinion is to effectively roll bunnies with a .177 you need to use heavier pellets (he used cr
  19. yeah, I am a bit reluctant to pay £126 without trying, but on the forums it seems to work brilliantly with the Regal, I will definitely get the XTXair regulator, the mk6 airstream isn't that bad. The issue I have with the weihrauch is that it adds quite a bit of length, if the FSB version fitted then I'd order one tomorrow
  20. Simon, thank you for that, I will be taking my regal to XTXair to get it regulated, I also want a huggett belita shroud but have to wait until the dust settles from buying the Regal in the first place. I have taken quite a few crows with it so far though, so power is good enough to drop corvids in one shot. I will give AA field 4.51 a go.
  21. Sorry, me being dumb, I have actually read that. Thank you
  22. A little off topic, sorry, but pianoman, I was getting great groups with my Regal using daystate rangemaster sovereigns, but at the weekend at 40 yards it looked like they opened up a bit. May I ask what pellets you are using in your Regal please?
  23. Both, .177 PCP and .22 Springer
