  1. Great thread, seeing how you've had a goshawk lamping has been interesting and something I haven't read about being done very often.

Thank you I'm looking into get a camera next season to mount on its back to see a bird eyes View of chasing it's quarry.as not many people has done these with a Goshawk.

Thank you as she has done me well in the Three months I've hunted her and I've aimed to get her entered on birds this year and it happened maybe not many birds .but I look at it I never got any birds with her in her first year .

  4.

That the only way to keep the Gos feathers good with the loop perch.

    Hi Sean

I actually keep my imprint freelofted all year round.

Feather damage is never an issue with her.

Yeah I've heard people freelofting I would be a nervous wreck as she beats at anytime that fly's passed her went bowed out .so the thought of it in a mews would end up a dead Gos.

  5. this was Friday nites clips and only manage the three caught rabbits and after the last clip was at a hare and then the battery died, and never got the fourth rabbit as that was a cracking flight and the bird started to retrieved the rabbit up the hill with one foot on the head and the other walking up the field with the rabbit.

  6. The Harris will start to catch on on the lamp and cut out of the beam .as my female done this on the lamp and surprise them at the last min.and hope to see the flight on the GoPro as I use one for the Gos.

  7. I've tried driving passed in the car for really easy ones and trying for a single one or a double ones as I think she's not convenient to take any in a pack as she Gos half hearted then turns away from them as I know myself she'll not go into packs yet.as I just can't understand I've never showing her a magpie or pheasant or partridge and grey back and go.s like a rocket at them.as I've tried all weight from her summer weight at 2lb 7 and even upwards to 2lb 11oz no luck yet.as she is still a young bird maybe next season lll get a rook .

  8.

last nite clip and the mate nearly caught the first rabbit with his hands and you can see how wet the fields are with the bird giving up on the last flight and just headed home.
