Thinking of taking my kids camping for a couple of days when I have them next there only 7 n 5 n never done out like that before n me neither really especially when I was a kid.

There's fields I have access to but my youngest could get scared if in the middle of nowhere maybe even bored so I think it's good to have others around.

Does anyone know of any campsites in the lance area were they also allow you to make a little camp fire as they'll want to do that oh n tent ideas preferably ones that are not a feck about to put up thanks..

Tent wise mate it might pay you to go to a Go Outdoors shop. The bigger ones will have loads of tents set up in store so you can see what you're actually buying. I would go Air beam tent now if I was after a big one again as it was divorce shit putting up my old 8 man Outwell Montana with a bloody head strong Mrs!! If you're after something smaller and cheaper a flexi poled 4/5 manner will be fine and still easy to pitch. Try to get to a shop mate and pick their brains!!

Sanchez very unlike a Cuban fighter. Poor from him..always suspect  a boxer a with a bodybuilder's physique.

Still going Usyk, he and his team are focused, determined and ultra professional. Fury is clowning and is backed by a bunch of amateurs and clowns apart from Steward. Usyk to dismantle Fury, he's a spent force, legs have gone and flabby despite losing weight. The jolly giant is going to fall.

I'm not ruling Usyk out of this at all like you say. Be great to see him lay fury out just for the upset but that's not going to happen. I can't see Usyk going the distance with fury leaning allover him for 12 rounds either although that's probably his game plan and he'll use his speed to to stay out of trouble. I'm going for a Fury win.. K.O.. round 7/8.

My Mrs's record is 7 slices of bread with a pot noodle mate! We were only 21 years old and camping in Scotland. Probably explains why she isn't a size 10 anymore!!

According to the eye witness simoman he watched it for 10 minutes, thats a long time then followed it and threw mud at it within 50 meters.

I think it more that greyman is a good bloke, your all his mates and you feel like i'm attacking him by questioning big cats.

I've got absolutely no excuses for people not getting 'that' pic other than what mentioned. I'd certainly like to as it would be a nice little earner from the media I'm sure.. and who'd turn down a nice little easy wedge for the sake of taking a pic!

I get on with everyone mate on here I'd like to like so and yes, Greyman is a sound bloke but like TOMO says I don't know him personally and we've never swapped pm's or anything. I'm straight down the middle mate and say things how see it and take people as I find them!

  5. I don't think it's a natural primative reaction to whip your phone out if you where to have an unexpected big cat encounter in our countryside today. More likely your arse would fall out. I was out on a walk in the rain yesterday evening and spotted a hare sat layed tight not 10 feet from me. By the time I'd fumbled getting my phone out with wet hands.. turned my camera back around facing the right way, the hare had got up.. put the middle finger upto me and skedaddled off into the woods!  B@stard!! Lol..

Tell your sister to watch hold the front page series two episode two the dna was found  at the time I did the program mate,or have a listen to this we sat on it until after the show was aired as it was going to be an exclusive for the Westmorland gazette, not sure how that panned out as I’ve not seen it yet or listened to the podcast  but you should get the location it was a bit of a shame as I had a limited area in which to work in but just outside of that area I found three sheep kills in a very tight area that couldn’t be used in the program,

Almost managed to keep your head down grab but thanks for your opinion wish you were a cat I’d catch you every week lol

Thank you mate! Yes, I remember you going up there now.

  7. I'm itching to know where abouts in the Lakes this happened. My sister has literally jumped sent me a link to an article about it and she's crapping herself because she's out in the Lakes for a bivy camp on Saturday lol.. obviously I know the location will be kept quiet for now. Great result on the positive test though!

I do tend to say fuuck (ed, ing) a lot, especially when speaking in Spanish… the reason…. Because everyone thinks it’s means bad and I love confusing the fec out of people lol.

When playing pool with my Ozzie mate, people give us a very wide berth. The way we speak to each other in English sounds so bad that we’ve had old boys coming between us thinking we are about to kick off  “fuuck off ya cheating b*****d” is a favorite, also “you fuucking lucky cnut” comes a close second. All the while people stare at us like we’re members of the SS.

Mate.. I'm from an East mids pit village. If someone calls me a c**t.. I know they like me!!

I use wood wool , they have wax in them . Can get them cheap in bulk online. I light them with a map gas torch. Just poke four or five in to the top of charcoal let it catch with vents open lid open and no grill then once going place in grill ,heat deflector and shut the lid. I normally let it come up to 200f and then close the vents down I like to put low and slow meats on at about 250, if I'm doing wings or thighs/steaks I'll probably let it come up to 300f

Holy fuk mate.. that's a million miles away from squirting half a litre of lighter fluid on there and holding a match to it whilst I down a cold wife beater!! Thanks Borr.. big respecto!!

Yep, the van and the car with the tentbox on top. Tomorrow they're going up again on the MTBs. Then a rest day before the next bit, they're watching for a weather window to do a 2 night 3 day kayak trip around the Orkneys. They've got a few days booked in a croft somewhere so the girlfriends and Jims mum are flying up to join them. Sadly I couldn't make this trip but I did Snowdon with them last year. Well they did Snowdon, I stayed and did some kayaking, cooked their meals and did their laundry! 🤣

I thought it was there mate. Cracking spot it is. Been up on the gondolas a few times over the years but never with a bike. It's a great way for people less able to experience mountain top views.  Watched a fair few coming down the trail on their MTB's as the trail winds and twists under the route the gondolas uses. Remember seeing one young girl really ripping it up and doing some massive jumps! She had way more balls than me! Sounds a cracking trip your son is having mate.. hope the weather stays nice for them!

Couple of pics of my girls from over the years up near the cafe where the down hill trail begins!

Only had the eldest daughter first time I went up and she was only 10 months old. Took the lurcher and GSP up there back then too!

It's a crying shame mate as it's a cracking little pond and i witnessed what look like a decent size chub top wile i was there also Eastern Europeans have been targeting the pond and taking the fish and i have heard on the grapevine the owners of the site the pond is on theirs plans to drain it and fill it in. I am surprised with it being part of a close knit ex mining village that its not looked after a bit better tbh.

It is mate. Too many selfish b@stards out there now with no respect for anything or anyone. I pick up a can off Kinder on my camp out on Friday that some scruffy twat had thrown down into some rocks. Funny how they can carry it up full but can't be arsed to bring it back down when it's empty and squashed! I threw it in my rubbish bag and binned it when I got home!

I tapped out mate and had the pipes cut after I'd had my two daughters. I was happy with my little family of 4 set-up even though my Mrs tried to talk me out of it. I was 28 and 31 when they were born and had the snip at 36 I think I was. I'll have to wait and see if I get any grandkids I suppose!
