  19. I keep and breed rabbits for meat ,then tan there skins ,I have a Californian Buck ,a Californian Doe and a new Zealand Doe, I have people waiting for my rabbits because they taste great ,it is legal as long as you don't sell them foe money then you get into food license , you can give them away I breed each of mine once a year and get 12 - 18 bunny's , if you need info let me know
  20. mink oil will not make them greasy it keeps the soft ,some of my skins are well over 12 months old with no problem ,they have not been over exposed to weather , any leather will need looking after , as long as you scrape well and stretch enough ,all I can say is try it see how you get on I will gladly send you one to see what you get, test it, wet it, pull it ,I have a friend who trains his greyhound with my skins , its interesting I hope to tan a fox hide this year when I get the chance to skin one
  21. you take the fleshy bit off AFTER its been in the mix for a week ,not before
  22. I think the mix is 200gs APS to 5 gallons ,be carful what you do with the left over mix ,DONT put it down the drain ,it makes a good weed killer though, and use rubber gloves
  23. thanks ,I hope to pick up some good tips
