Have alook at Kahles. Have had a pair for a couple of years now, very good in low light conditions which is where you need them to work. Even very cheap ones look ok in the shop during the day.

I thought I do a write up of my trips to my woodland permissions over the weekend. I have enjoyed what other people have written so thought i would have a go.
Trip one on Friday saw me arriving at the North woods early with a view to getting into a high seat that I had not used alot this year. I fanicied giving a go because the wind direction was favourable and it meant I could be in position quickly after arriving. After very quietly working my way down to the seat and taking up position I sat and waited, but after a short while something was nagging at me ( not my old lady which is usual
Well done, bet your glad you took the opportunity to get out. The met office have just issued a servere weather warning for the south east, so more rain and high winds to come.

Like others have said buy the best you can afford. Looking at game fairs is some help, but not a lot as what you are paying for, or not paying for as the case may be, is the low light gathering qualities. In my experience this is very hard to tell in the middle of the day at a game fair.
For what it is worth I have a pair of Kahles and have been very pleased with them

I have the same gun and have found it to be very reliable indeed when fed with cartiridges that it likes, I have put thousands through it. I got the type of jams you are explaining (when it was quite new) when using 'light' cartridges.

Hi, just registered, and would like to say hello all existing members.
Shooting and Fishing are my passions, always happy when doing either, even when the fish are not biteing or the deer are not co-operating.
