  2. Ive enjoyed reading everyones comments in regards to the XS20 and its been great to be able to able to call upon everybody else's experience, but this morning I decided to take my bog standard XS20 out and see what it was actually like. To say the least it was the most fun I've had in a while. The rifle itself was perfectly accurate for what i wanted. Getting myself a couple of bunnies early on and a couple of woodies a little later.. and not to forget the crow that taunted me for longer than I desired. most of the shots were made at around 30 yards and the longest shot of the morning being ar
  3. Very good video that mate. feel a little inspired
  4. thanks milegajo, seemed a fair opinion and the review of the th208 was good too. I did share in the theory that if it was a clone of the hw95 then it shouldn't go far wrong.
  5. secretagentmole Ive spoken to willy at woodfield gcp and he's going to be dong some tuning on it for me. but he did say there wasn't much he could do with the trigger with it being a mk2 . Feel a little cheated that the shop I bought it from told me that it had a rekord trigger.
  6. I am impressed with the rifle. When it comes to wether or not it compares to the hw95 its hard, having paid a snip of the price for the gun itself. Im having it tuned by willy at woodfield and also having a new stock added too. Once everything is done it maybe good to find someone with a 95 and do some kind of comparison test.
  7. As mentioned in a previous post, a couple of weeks ago I decided to add a SMK XS20 to my small collection of air rifles. I openly admit that I may have been a bit of a snob in the past and only really looked at the more expensive rifles of the springer range, and thats the reason I've ended up with a pro sport and a hw97 ( and a couple of tx's along the way). When buying the XS20 I read lots of reviews most of them good, and I liked the idea that in some reviews they were described as a clone of the HW95. As the purpose of me buying this particular Smk was to be a little bit of a project, to
  8. cheers guys, the xs20 to be honest is a great rifle, i know some people think they are just cheap chinese guns but its build quality is quite surprisingly solid and the trigger is not too bad either its great for vermin control, but I do just want to make it that little bit better. I have had brief chat with the guys at springwell fieldsports today and they said they can do a stage 1 tune for £75.00. but I will give woodfield a call too. Thanks
  9. Hello folks, I am new to the forum and looking for a little advice. I've been shooting for a around 4 years now I am a big fan of spring rifles, I have considered buying a pcp however every time I go into my local shop i some how leave with yet another springer. So far I have a AA pro sport, a hw97 and before both of these a tx200 (part ex'd it for the pro sport) both the pro sport and the HW97 are fantastic rifles but I guess thats what you pay for. The other day I decided after reading some reviews of buying a SMK XS20 and tuning it and maybe adding a custom stock etc etc. has anyone else do
