I'm after advice on 2 things - 1) After not fishing for a few years i'm starting pike fishing again, the place i alwys used to fish seems dead & have been told there are not many pike there now, does anyone know of a good place in south yorkshire? i'm near doncaster & mainly have lure fished but enjoy bait fishing. 2) I'm thinking of starting a cold water aquarium & want a pike around 6 inch, If anyone can get me one i'll pay & collect.

Jesus you lot are a suspicious set of fuckers, it's like no ones ever done owt wrong or made a mistake. Are people saying that everytime they see it's windy @ half 9 at night they ring round the farmers on multiple farms spanning thousands of acres asking them about any little hazard? The land owners i know wouldn't appreciate that.

I'm happy with both dogs, The lurcher 'flick' is a good solid worker that puts her all in & listens well, who wants to be part of a team, tenacious little fecker & She always picks up what i want her to do quickly compared to most young dogs i've had. I think the tiny bit of collie in her (1/16th) has come through quite a bit which some times i like but is sometimes frustrating, you can watch her think things through, i like a dog that doesn't think too much. He's about 21 inch i tink frank, i got the spiel about ratting from an article i read about getting your kids in to fishing, basically go out and catch as many little fish as possible & as soon as they look bored take them home.

Sounds great mate, we do love to kill the rats! the whippet does need a fair bit more work just to see what he will & won't do, If anyone wants a k.c stud though he's ready for that just not lurcher stud.

Tonight i took my boy out lamping for the first time, he loved it but to be honest i think he's fonder of shooting rats, less walking involved, he's only 5 mind. Not a great pic but my stud whippet is on here too, supposedly a show strain but nobodys told him that!

Male mice stink, male rats looked after do not smell. They're rats for feck sake! they're the easiest thing in the world to breed hence their global domination as a pest species!!

p.s i kept all mine seperate but they'll foster each others pups after they're 2 weeks old, think they'll kill them before that, As someone who's been breeding them i really can't agree with some of the posts on here. It really is a piece of piss & out of all the rodents mentioned are by far the better option.

I've bred 40 plus rats this month, it's a piece of piss & cost me half what it would cost to buy dead ones, they don't smell like mice, even my step mother who loves to drag me down said they didn't smell when she came round to visit, very easy to look after minimal maintenance & excellent food source compared to day old chicks. Plastic tubs with mesh lids is the cheapest option to house them, i necked 40 this month & would suggest gassing them as pulling that many necks in 10 minutes was a bit grissly. go for it i say it's worked for me.

I've no expierience of this in a running dog but from other animal related expierience the remainding toes will be put under a lot of pressure & probs get injured too, i.e they support each other.

Due to personal & financial reasons i must sell my pointer bitch (englishxbrittany), she is 5 month old lives outside & is un-spoilt, she is instant to re-call & walks to heal. She sight points at present & has scent pointed on occaision but is obviously still just a pup , she has had her jabs. This is a reluctant sale, i'll accept £175 but it's negotiable if that's going to give her a PROPER working home.

The one i liked looks nice, wouldn't swap mine now though! How tall is the merle bitch? Would be good if we can get them together some time this season, Bet it's nice to see pup's you've bred rather than them just dissapearing as the usually do. There's plenty of time for mine to get bad traits but at the mo she has just taken to everything naturally. I'm very pleased, one of the better 100 quids i've spent!

cheers fellas, she is mostly whippet greyhound, 1/8 bull & 1/16th collie, her dad's dave sleights boy blue. here is one so you can see the width of her. she's a cracking shape for what i want.

I think flick's about 10 month old now & the missus is away so thought i'd introduce her to the lamp, it's a bit still but i'm sick of waiting & she was more than ready, she's had at a guess over 20 day time rabbits up to now, I don't think it's because of the fact i've known what i'm doing this time & have been very chilled with pushing but this bitch has impressed me more than any other i've had, she slaughters them, most of this runs tonight were long & she took 4 out of 6...i think i'm in love.
