  3. i think she was born dec 07 she's 1/8th bull some collie & whippet greyhound. she's not perfect but she's my favourite i've had.
  4. still out bashing rabbits but thought i'd show you best out of a photo shoot today!
  5. haven't been able to get right pic.
  6. I'm having a tat of a lurcher done soon - this is the best pic i have so far, if you've got owt as good please post it. cheers.
  7. agree with this. I'm really not looking for an argument i just find 400 ridiculous when you can buy a top class lurcher for £150, it's the name that's being bought nothing more, it's profitting from lurchers when they shouldn't be bred for money just to use in my mind. there's just too many as it is. of course i can't talk , i bred dogs for cash..never a lurcher though....hmme how much can you get for them you say? l.o.l
  8. .If you don't mind me asking Chubs how much did you pay for your pedigree Whippet? and how much is he at stud for? I'd hazard a guess and say he'll not of been cheap.Imo a dogs only worth what YOU (the buyer) think it's worth .All the best Andy. I paid 200 quid for him k.c & sold his pups at 260 to 300 with k.c but that's k.c which is all bollocks & about money, his stud fee for a lurcher would be 60 quid ish. paying 400 or 150 for a lurcher if bought from working dogs will end up with the same result, a working lurcher.....hopefully. I stand buy it £400 quid is a joke
  9. i dont mean to offend but how can you justify 400 pound for a pup that has bearly left the teat. dont get me wrong i dont mean to cause an argument, maybe i just need educating about the minshaw lurcher. some look like saluki based coursing dogs and some look like bullx lamping dogs is there a difference in strain or is it just pot luck how they turn out. thankyou. £400 is a joke, they're lurchers nothing more nothing less.
  10. yep , agree with the above looks bad but it ain't, 10 days it'll be healed & a month down the line you won't b able to tell it happened...pictures are hard to judge mind.
  11. bump, one dog pup left, i'll take a sensible offer on him.
  12. just some strong dogs left now, here's one of them -
  13. Bawtry near doncaster, can help with transport if needed but always best i think to see a litter & parents.
  14. bump, they've come on leaps & bounds in last week, ready in 2 weeks although pretty much weaned now.
  15. cheers, they all look the bloody same, would have liked some variety but at least they're all strong & healthy.
  16. K.C registered, faun blue brindle pups, dog & bitch can be seen, well raised, 6 week insurance, these are not from famous hunting lines & are not worked hard everynight or from fox killing machines etc, they are honest little bushing whippets that can catch rabbits. ready 03/08/08 £295 bawtry, s.yorks. p.m me for more details.
  17. All dogs are different, tried to hold my current lurcher back much as possible but she had other ideas, by the time i thought she was ready for entering she'd had 20 odd rabbits l.o.l Truth is i don't think there's a correct answer, know your own dog & don't push it too hard. using a whippet for foxes imho is not a great idea, i'm sure there are many that do it but it's not for me, there are far more capable dogs. you know all the answers to your questions anyway robreynolds ya little trouble causer!
  18. Whippet for stud, proven stud dog , He's at top size end for a whippet & bags of stamina , no big names but he can catch rabbits, not a world beater only really been tested on bunnys, if you're after a stud to make super lurchers don't bother but if your after a one for the pot type or a k.c whippet that's a good size & has drive p.m me. price negotiable & cheap. south yorkshire area. cheers, chubs.
