  1. As above I'm looking for a Minelab Sovereign GT Metal Detector, would consider older model Sovereign's but would prefer the GT..I have cash or could maybe do a cash/springer deal if that's your preference and don't mind doing post as long as its packaged well...let me know..
  2. Seems a shame to get rid after all that work and money, if the spring is very heavy then I imagine that cocking it is least of your worries as HW80's are known for going over power due to the chamber size so a strong spring in there might be making it a little hot to say the least, although a .177 spring will have more oomphh to it than a .22, there simple guns with not a lot to go wrong so you should be able to diagnose the problem but it looks like your patience has run out on this one!!
  3. I would be interested in fixing it for you but I'm the other end of the country, to be honest it is a easy fix as long as nothing is broke or missing, basically the trigger is causing your problem and installed wrong, did you cock the trigger before you slipped into the trigger block? Could also be that your safety is not free and sticks sometimes when you try to cock?
  4. Looking for a mk1/2 TX200 in .177, I have a mk2 .22 so would like a .177 to go with it, either walnut or beech but would really like walnut, condition not to worried about as I can restore within reason, face to face only and I can drive a decent distance for the right gun..
  5. Looking for a nice HW77K with the early 25mm piston in .177 but might go .22 for the right gun, any condition will do within reason as I don't mind restoring, would like a 80's dated gun if possible, let me know what you got, would prefer face to face..
  6. I done 2 coats of stain but I reckon 1 decent coat would be enough, thing is when you apply it it looks a bit naff but after it has been on the wood for about a minute wipe it all off going with the grain with a lint free cloth, this evens out the colour, I found using 2 coats you have to be careful not to let it get patchy otherwise its a wipe down with white spirit and start again job!! murkey..
  7. I used this stain, other colours available but the final product colour doesn't seem to match the colour on the advert but looked at lots of online pictures of gel stain colours until I was happy to pay £17.00 a tin. I then finished off with 4 very light thin coats of this Danish oil 250ml is loads, also the stain is big for what you need, the secret to using both of these products is to apply correctly (very thin) wipe off excess and allow at least 24hrs drying time between coats, I would say 48/72 hrs for the stain to fully dry before the Danish..
  8. Well you can't say that and not post a photo mate!!! To be honest the main picture the stain looks a bit varied but in the wood it is a lot more even and natural, I paid £120 for it and it was a bit rough in places but now shoots wonderful and looks a lot better... Before After Before After Finished
  9. Just restored my mk2 tx beech stock, stripped with paint stripper, gentle sand down, stained with a gel stain so it dosnt soak into the end grain as other stains do, then finished off with several very thin coats of Danish oil, looks awesome..
  10. Never had that before where the mount is too big.. All my springers now have 1 piece mounts to help keep the zero, 2 piece is really for PCP in my eyes..
  11. I have a 80k and it's fine for weight but like any rifle you couldn't hold it for hours on end.. Try the used section you will save a lot on a new one..
  12. Hi, I'm looking for a little project again, where you based?
