  1. WOW! GUNS've ARRIVED!!! :yahoo::gunsmilie::shok:

Only took all bloody week but better late than never..........Now........please tell us they are working and behaving just fine Kurt :clapper:

    Regards.

    Simon

    Errrrrmmmmmm,

    I'm not sure....I have no air :icon_redface:

I have a brand new air cylinder, but haven't had chance to get it filled up, and won't have chance now until Saturday...

I'm that desperate, I ordered an FX 4 stage pump online, but that won't come until Friday :cray:

Apart from that, they have safety features and everything :boogy:

I'd just like to say a big THANKS too, for caring :toast:

If it's for a springer i would bye the panorama to get the 10 year warranty i'm not slating Mtc scopes but the warranty on my mamba is only 12months.

MTC are longer than 12 months too....

    http://www.mtcoptics.co.uk/mtcTerms.htm

When i brought mine i phoned sammie at Mtc who said the warranty was 12months just looked on their website in the mamba manual it says

Your scope is guaranteed free of all defects for 3
years from date of purchase, and this warranty
is transferable as long as we are informed at time of re-sale.
Maybe the more exspensive models have the 10 year warranty

I just looked in my new MTC Viper 4-16 x 50 IRS manual and it doesn't even mention a warranty so that's good :icon_eek:

Looks like they have recently updated there website ©2013 MTC Optics. All Rights Reserved. Designed by AccidentbyDesign.

    And there warranty terms

    That's good then,lol

  4. Hi,

I want to set up a paper target in my garden at 10m distance (its all my small garden will allow).

I intended to buy one of these:

    Target_Funnel_Pellet_Catche.gif

The thing is that I want to fill it with something to make the target as quiet as possible. I only have a small garden in a residential area so I don't want the sound of pellets on metal echo-ing around the neighbourhood. As silent as possible is required.

Anyone have any ideas or better targets I can look at please?

Also, this target needs to be hung on a fence. So I take it that some sort of extra backstop is needed just in case I miss the target. I've heard that carpet is effective? I need something that would stop the pellet from penetrating and ricocheting. I'd need to mount it to the fence panel and then mount the target on top of that.

    Thanks

At 30 yards my .22 Air Ranger (now sold), went through the metal on one of these after about 100 shots....

You could get a pellet trap and pack the back of it with plumbers mait.... http://www.diy.com/nav/fix/plumbing/plumbing-supplies/joint_compounds___putty/Evo-Stik-Plumber-s-Mait-456105-1-5Kg-9271757?skuId=9281457

It's strong putty that will keep it silent :)

  5. I just used to get a mate to pour some flammable liquid on an aerosol (half full) and light it.....

Then I used to shoot the aerosol from a distance.....

Excellent if you want to make your neighbours soil themselves :boogy:

(I'd probably advise against doing anything like that these days though, with all the terrorism problems etc) :icon_redface:

  7. Nice to have the dilemma of choices after what you've been through Kurt. :D

Both HWs you've mentioned could sort you and your son out for a lifetime of shooting together, I reckon

    Thanks Pianoman

I didn't realise the weight of the HW97. Not sure my lad would manage that. Lol

Still getting the HW100 but going to get the Ultra SE for the lad :)

  8. My Italian Buddy the Benelli M2 12 gauge is just the job and with a better chance of finding ammo unlike a C/F or even a Rimmy ;)

More people shoot shotties than any other powder burner, Plus if it did Happen :laugh: a Little bit of hacksaw action to shorten the barrel length

and increase spread of shot at close range ;) failing that a good base ball bat with some nails in also works

    atvb Daz 7.

Now THIS is something I like to see. A man with a plan :)

  9.

    Right folks,

I know it is frowned upon, frequenting forums and requesting instructions on how to increase power of your sub 12 ft lb air rifle.......

    But.......

After watching World War Z, it got me thinking, if this shit happened........

Sub 12 ft lb just won't do........

And after discovering Daryl in The Walking Dead is actually armed with a Junior Crossbow

What is the easiest rifle to tune/power up you have come across? (This is merely if an apocalypse should occur and not for law breaking purposes)

You need to get out more

Have you ever been to Hull?

If so, then you'd realise that there's nowt worth going out for ;)

  10. Ok. I've called them back and the guy said he doesn't want me going away after a bad experience and they've offered me £100 compensation.

Now, should I get an Air Ranger again, even though it looks like they're gonna be fades out sometime soon to make way for the Wolverines, a Daystate Regal,a Weihrauch HW100 KT, or an FX Royale 400?

If I got the Regal or Weihrauch, I'd have enough left over to get a nice springer too...

Answers on a postcard please :)
